The fine print, in plain language

Every contribution gets a receipt — required by the Municipal Elections Act, 1996.
Contributors of more than $100 are listed by name in the campaign’s financial statement, which becomes a public document.
The rebate (partial refund) program is run by the City of Mississauga: 50% of an eligible contribution of $100 or more, to a maximum rebate of $750, paid after the campaign’s financial statements clear the City’s review (expected early 2028). Read the City’s program rules.
Contributions are not tax-deductible and are not eligible for federal or provincial tax credits.
