The problem

Your driveway shouldn’t be a showroom for thieves. The system has failed to protect our property, choosing to focus on minor infractions rather than the organized crime rings operating in our own backyards.

The plan

  1. Project GoldenEye

    If the system won’t protect us, we will protect each other. We will implement a heavily subsidized, city-wide network of provincially licensed and vetted private security patrols — deployed by the community, for the community.

  2. Aggressive Youth Intervention

    Cut off the gang-recruitment pipeline. We will massively subsidize youth mentorship, sports, and community programs to keep kids out of the hands of organized crime.

  3. Controlling the Police Board

    The Mayor holds a seat on the Peel Police Services Board. I will use the city’s leverage over their budget to force a direct strategic and budgetary pivot toward violent crime and auto-theft. source
